Aug. 10, 1945
"On the day after the A-bomb was dropped, most passenger cars on the platforms at Hiroshima station had roofs dented in the center. Boxcars were turned sideway, coal cars hadn't been blown, and locomotives were fine, too, because they were made from iron."

Around noon, he left Hiroshima for Okayama by a train. There was a huge fire in Fukuyama because of an air attack. However, even though Fukuyama station was on fire, his train went through there, and the train was fine. In the train, there were many injured people with splinters of glass stuck to their body and face.

This is the story as he saw it in a couple of days right after the a-bomb in Hiroshima.
